If you need to cancel an appointment its important to keep us updated with your current contact details as we send text reminders with the option to reply CANCEL if you no longer need it. This non-attendance will be coded in your medical records. Missed appointments cause an increase in waiting times and a waste of resources. 3 missed appointments in a 12 month period may receive a warning letter, further occurrences may result in removal from the practice. Please let us know as early as possible so that this can be utilised for another patient.
Any/every appointment missed is NHS time and money wasted.
If you miss an appointment, we may contact you to see if this needs to be re-booked and/or to see if there is any additional support we can provide.
It is not acceptable to abuse the system of booking appointments and not attending, if this repeatedly occurs, we may consider your continued registration.
